Let’s assume for a minute the Administration is telling the truth—a big assumption given their track record for turning out more fudge in their going-on two year tenure than a legitimate fudge factory—balloon floating over western Montana is not a Chinese spy project.
Why did it take so long for them to tell the public and what is the balloon recording by apparently spying on the American public and why was it the excuse floated for canceling Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s trip to Beijing.?
What’s the real narrative? Could it be to sucker the so-call false information crowd that so-called conspiracy dupes spread that they fear so much?
Friday evening no less a media shill for this administration than Bloomberg took to the airways to deliver this.
“A high-altitude research balloon from the US is now among the world’s most-tracked aircraft, after thousands of internet users mistook it for the suspected Chinese surveillance balloon floating over the western state of Montana.
“More than 4,000 users were following every move of “N257TH,” a standard high-altitude research balloon often released over the US, according to FlightRadar24. In response, the popular aircraft-tracking website said in a tweet on Saturday that it updated its label for the US balloon, adding that the object was “not a Chinese balloon.”
“The high-altitude Chinese balloon floating over the continental US has gripped the world’s attention and forced Secretary of State Antony Blinken to cancel his trip to Beijing. The balloon is part of a broader Chinese spying program that’s seen many such devices sent over the US, including some during the Trump administration, according to officials in Washington.

“The fate of the balloon, as it wafts 10 miles above ground, remains uncertain — as do the delicate relations between two superpowers grasping for ways to deescalate tensions and get talks back on track. Authorities in the city of Billings in southern Montana issued a statement refuting the veracity of a video purporting to show an explosion and the balloon crashing to the ground, after it went viral on Twitter and was shared by cable news networks.”
Approximately 12 hours earlier Bloomberg ran this.
“The US Defense Department said Thursday it’s monitoring a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon floating over the western state of Montana, underscoring mutual suspicion between the world’s two largest economies just as top diplomats had prepared to hold talks in Beijing. Here’s everything we know so far:
1. What’s a surveillance balloon?
“Cheap, quiet and hard to reach — balloons have long been used for reconnaissance purposes, including in conflicts like the American Civil War. The practice became widespread during World War I and was used extensively during the Cold War, when the US launched hundreds of balloons to gather intelligence on the Soviet Union and China. While their use has declined with the rise of unmanned drones and satellites, many countries still employ spy balloons. The Pentagon is expanding investment in high-altitude inflatables, Politico reported last year. Modern balloons are generally unmanned, but they still generally lack propulsion and are subject to wind currents.”
So as of Thursday per Bloomberg the US Defense Department didn’t know what the balloon was.
That’s on this administration for it to get to this level not those so-called Internet bugs.
So why was the Blinken trip mothballed?
