We would be remiss if we didn’t respond to multi-billionaire Michael Bloomberg's recent BS WSJ piece.
Yea, it’s that Michael Bloomberg who became the king sized soft drink czar when he was mayor of New York.
Another elite telling you what’s best for you.
Here are some examples of flat-out phony leftist BS.
“Every generation faces its own bouts with censorship. In my youth, it was Sen. Joe McCarthy’s hunt for communists. I can still vividly remember his questions (“Are you now or have you ever been . . .?”). Today, censorship is coming from both sides of the political aisle, but only one side is writing it into law. Republican Censorship
Let’s take the second first. he says: “Higher education is rooted in intellectual exploration. Colleges that don’t expose students to challenging and uncomfortable ideas fail their pupils.”
Well, challenging and uncomfortable ideas are what colleges have been banning for years when they ban conservative commencement speakers and such. Many of Bloomberg’s friends have most likely spent money to get students to protest and railroad consevervative speakers off campus.
Even he knows how well they’ve succeeded.
He is a flat out hypocrite trying to slip the usual leftist BS past the public. His most insulting comment is he brings up First Amendment speech protection.
Another lie is that liberals have not been passing censorship laws and he has the nerve to cite campus intolerance. What the hell do you call a lockdown, sir.
He brings up McCarthyism. How pathetic. McCarthyism wasn’t shit compared to what they slammed you with the past two years and even on college campuses before then.
He can still hear the echoes of “Are you now or have you ever been…” Well, here’s an echo for you, big guy, a real recent one, “Are you now or have you ever been vaccinated for Covid-19?”
Read some of the current college regulations and restrictions. Tenure needs to go. Now.
Florida is apparently seeking to put that academic boondoggle to rest, hopefully forever.
Government sanctioned sinecures.
It isn’t that Bloomberg is so benighted. He doesn’t want to know. There are entire college departments with no moderate or conservative professors. Where we come from it sounds like the doctrine of indoctrination and intimidation.
He admits conservative voices have been shouted down and tries to play the blame card with his “If you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em” BS.
“Professors in Florida have sued to block the Stop Woke Act, and let us hope judges will soon strike it down as an abridgment of the First Amendment. Some professors, however, have also urged students to boycott a new state survey meant to gauge whether colleges are hostile to viewpoint diversity. That’s a mistake. Florida’s censorship law is wrong, but it’s a reaction to the very real problem of campus intolerance. The more that students speak out about it—even if anonymously through surveys—the more pressure it puts on administrators to address it.
“Higher education is rooted in intellectual exploration. Colleges that don’t expose students to challenging and uncomfortable ideas fail their pupils. The same applies to governments that attempt to block professors from offering their insights or forcing them to teach material as though all theories—like evolution and creationism—should be given equal weight.“Republicans often rightly complain that college campuses are hostile to the free exchange of ideas. Speakers over the past decade have regularly been disinvited, shouted down and even physically attacked by student activists unwilling to entertain different ideas and perspectives. This behavior is anathema to a university’s mission and deeply damaging to our nation
“Unfortunately, instead of taking a principled stand for free speech, many Republicans are now saying: “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.”
Note everything becomes principled when their asses are the ones against the wall.
They been mercilessly kicking your asses for over two years and now he wants all to be forgotten and the white flag waved.
Where’s your sense of spiritual decency? These are the same dudes that closed your places of worship, isolating you, actually making fun of you and your beliefs.
Ironically, the Journal ran anohter article recently, “The Price We Pay for Being Less Social.” And we found out about the suicide rate in kids owing to isolation and lockdowns.
Articles like his need to be challenged right away. These are the classic “Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth” people lecturing you while cowardly hinting for forgiveness.
Bloomberg’s article comes at an appropriate time, however, not for them but you. It’s another example that reveals how scared these folks are going into midterms and 2024.
These are massively hateful people accusing others who fail to line up of being hateful
Of course, you should know that anyone who writes something like us must be a Trump dupe or a Christian fanatic. That shows you how arrogant these people are.
