The consensus is often wrong.

That may strike many as a surprise and it is to all the so-called experts pushing their narratives that they know best. We’ve just came through two years of that.

It had many names, lockdown, pandemic, bullying, controlling, censoring, confusing, isolating, greater good and many more.

Don’t get distracted. If there’s one narrative there’s almost always more. Figure out the real one for yourself. Without narratives most of the media doesn’t have a purpose to exist.

The same is true for nearly everything else.

Are you unconfused yet?

Even the most cursory look at science, medical or otherwise, reveals a number of examples when the consensual view turned out wrong. And through hook or crook or force they stayed wrong for years.

TV talking heads and Wall Street should come to mind. And, yes, much of what some call science.

Freedoms are getting fewer and fewer these days and one of the most cherished you want to protect is the ability and right to decide for yourself.

Globalization is in reverse. It might cost more to have those supply chains closer to home. But many are willing to pay the fare to have that convenience and certainty. And then there’s jobs.

Your body is quite intelligent.

If you decided to starve yourself to death, the body would give up the nonessential proteins first, saving the more important necessary ones until the very end. That’s as good as a good metaphor gets for your right to decide for yourself.

Hang onto to it. Meanwhile, Juwan should be fired. That’s an opinion. Don’t be afraid to express yours.

We believe in energy. Why waste it on those who are not kindred spirits. The truth is purposely being, to use a kind term, slanted and it ain’t in your best interests.

That applies to everything from finance to politics to science. Not new at all, just more bold.

That’s not our view or our trying to tell you what you should do.

You decide. If you agree you might become a subscriber or a patron. If not again that’s your decision.

Poet Robert Service, famous for not only his tales of the Yukon, wrote a short poem about the men who for whatever reasons don’t fit in. Some refer to them as contrarians or iconoclasts, cynics or troublemakers.

We just call them what we think they are: self-motivated, independent for the most part, not afraid to express the outlying view or opinion.

Risk takers and entrepreneurs might also come to mind, people who count on themselves not governments.

Stay up-to-date

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. We don’t share any information for one simple reason: We don’t like when others violate that principle.

We like you no doubt get our information shared when we thought it would not be. We when possible we exercise what we call the pocketbook response.

We try not to get too far into one lane or the other, sort of a middle lane approach if you will, let readers interpret for themselves. Just the particulars without the polish and shine.

But as you know or should know there comes times when getting out of your lane is necessary.

Aren’t you glad that there is a few of us still around who believe you’re more than capable of reading, writing and adding up for yourselves.

We’re not afraid of comments or opinions.

Might surprise you that we have a few ourselves.
